This early self-portrait, which has never been on the open market, is one of Claudio Bravo’s finest and most important drawings. It is a remarkably accomplished self-portrait for a 21 year old. The attention to detail and compositional framing shows his love of and debt to early Renaissance portraiture.
The drawing was given as a gift to the original owner of the drawing in 1962.
