This view over Naples across to the Sorrentine mountains is taken on the Salita della Riccia leading to the Casino Mirandois or Villa l'Arriccia, the residence of Prince l'Arricia. 

 

Inscribed lower right  ‘Leading to the MIRANDUS/ Palace near Capo di MONTE/ NAPLES. T.JONES/ N° XXXIIII'. Inscribed in the sky  ‘a Path cut thro’ the tuffa leading to ye mirandose near Capodi Monte Naples August 17th'.
